Another 8 teams have left the Western PA Youth Football League in the wake of an investigation into missing funds. The Trib reports that the teams from Baldwin-Whitehall, Belle Vernon, Connellsville, Hempfield, Montour, Norwin, Trinity and West Allegheny to form their own league. This comes on the heels of five other teams out of Westmoreland County leaving the league. They left after police began to investigate the reported disappearance of an undisclosed amount of money from the league’s bank account, which is funded through revenue from each team’s gate fees. The status of the investigation is unknown.
