A superload is expected to travel through Western PA today. PennDOT says that it will start in Allegheny County on Tri-Boro Expressway, 130, 48, and William Penn Highway to Indiana County on Routes 22, 286, 129/Alpine Village Drive, 22 and 119 into Jefferson County continuing on Routes 436 and 36 to I-80 West in Brookville. The superload will then travel I-80 to the Ohio line. There will be a rolling slowdown with speeds of 25 to 30 miles an hour or less and it may take up two traffic lanes. Stoppages and blocks are expected, so you may want to find an alternate route if you are in the path of the cargo, which is a steel cone measuring 136 feet long, nearly 28 feet wide, and weighs in 150 tons.
