A quick-thinking four-year-old son led police to a fugitive hiding in a Greensburg Apartment.
The Tribune-Review reports that on October 2nd, Sheriff’s deputies were looking for 24-year-old Jesse Vaughn Lawson of New Alexandria when they got to an apartment in the Autumn Brook complex occupied by Lauren Byrd. When they got to the apartment, Byrd claimed that she hadn’t seen him for days, but the four-year-old said that he was hiding in the utility room on the second floor.
Lawson surrendered after police threatened to bust the door in.
Lawson was wanted on an arrest warrant on burglary and receiving stolen property, and now faces charges of flight to avoid apprehension, endangering the welfare of children, possession and manufacturing a controlled substance. He is in Westmoreland County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
