Westmoreland County Commissioners have increased the fees to remove some cases from criminal court archives.
The Tribune-Review reports that the fee approved by Commissioners on Thursday to expunge cases from criminal court records is now $154. This falls in line with a change in state law in 2016 that allowed counties to add $132 to those charges. Westmoreland County’s fee was originally $22.
The county is expected to receive more than $120,000 next year because of the higher fees.
